Cogito Ergo Sum

Crisis in the Middle East

I don’t like to speak about someone else’s religion because I feel that one’s religion is their own business. No person, corporation, or government should be able to tell another who, how, and when to believe. However, the crisis in the Middle East that erupted because of a short (stupid) video is really getting to me. Not because I think one shouldn’t fight for what one believes…but because of the deaths that has occurred due to the protests.

Protests…why? What for? It was a stupid movie. That’s it! Nothing more.

Therefore, why would one let a foolish movie move them to hurt another? If one’s faith is as strong as they claim it to be…why be moved?

Think about it…

To My Future Wife:

I think the world of you. You make me a better person. I love you.

I don’t have a huge group of friends, and I have enough enemies to populate a small state. People say it’s because I’m too picky, too harsh, too bitchy, too opinionated, too ‘hard to get to know’, too obscene, too uncompromising, too smart-mouthed, too stubborn, too unforgiving, etc. And guess what? They’re DAMN right I am and I have every right to be. I speak my mind, I’m honest even if it hurts, I don’t back down, I don’t let people get away with shit, and I am passionate about my choices and beliefs. I respect myself enough to be who I am all the time around any and every one. I’m not fake, I don’t waste my time, I will never apologize for who I am, I use my backbone, and I will always be real to myself, my feelings, my morals, and my views. And you may have more friends than me, but you’ll never have anything close to the love that I share with my few. Our bond is loyal, determined, genuine, dramatic, noble, proven, and rooted in the soul. Laugh or cry, succeed or fail, right or wrong, up or down, or stable or crazy, they’ve got my back and I’ve got theirs. So when your house is full at the next party you throw or you have 50 new facebook friend requests and photo tags next week, that’s great. But me and my few will be too busy being ‘obscene’, ‘smart-mouthed’, ‘opinionated’ bitches to notice the party we missed, and certainly to care. Because since we don’t give a shit what people think, we have more fun than you do, period.

You have the right to leave someone. But at least tell them why, ‘cause what’s even more painful than being abandoned is knowing you’re not worth an explanation.

For the soul to love silently.
